Making Hay While the Sun Shines... or Construction in the NW

Winter looks like it is going to take few days off so Theresa, her County Inspectors, and the the gang from Miles have snuck out to Yelm Highway and are going to try to get a bunch of things done this week. Here is what you might be seeing:

• Miles will be paving some driveways and accesses Wednesday and maybe Thursday.  


• The video vehicle detection system is being installed at the Rich Road signal and should be reactive to traffic by the end of the week. 


• Concrete work is continuing in different places along the roadway.


• Work on the illumination system east of Boulevard Road continues and we are working with Puget Sound Energy to get that leg of the street lights up and running.


• Landscape work will continue. 


• Street sweeping and clean out of catch basins will occur over the next week.


• Assorted other work along the back of the sidewalk and the retaining wall continues to dress up and stabilize the soil.

Please watch for workers and follow directions of traffic control signs and personnel. 

If the weather continues to cooperate, the project team hopes to have the majority of the project wrapped up by March or early April. We again want to thank you for your patience during this long construction phase.
